I Was talking to Brian Nairn and was surprised when he told me that all but 2 of the print presses are gone, the ECL and LS1 Gone and Pouch Machines, and the whole of the slitting hall is now empty... He told me that I would not recognise the place now. I thinking now that it will not be long before the skyline is changed for ever with demolition of the building, but I’m told there is a small problem of asbestos. Still in time i'm sure more houses will replace what we know as Mardons.
